The government will let you write it off on your taxes as a charitable contribution. If you do believe in it then you pay for the abortions of young mothers etc. And take a tax write off. Personally, I don't want the government telling me how to spend my money or what to spend it on and what kind of charitable contribution deduction or how much of a deduction I get to take, any more than they already do.
